Ulu Temburong National Park

Ulu Temburong National Park is situated within the Batu Apoi Forest Reserve, covering around 50,000 hectares. Owing to its favorable geographical setting, it is home to abundant wildlife. The people of Brunei have seamlessly blended nature with tourism, and the Bruneian government advocates for eco-tourism. To maintain the untouched appearance of the rainforest, the park features virtually no traces of human interference. The forest park has only hiking stone steps and basic facilities for safety, rest, and transportation.

Natural highlights within the park include a seven-kilometer wooden boardwalk and tree trails, offering scientists and visitors the chance to venture deep into the forest and explore its rich life. The park also has a treehouse about twenty meters high, connected by suspension bridges, which serves as a spot for nature observation. While it’s somewhat challenging to get a full view of the forest canopy from above, there are still stunning views of clear rivers and mountain peaks that captivate visitors. The park headquarters is located at the confluence of the Temburong River and the Palaloon River, housing an information center, staff dormitories, and a prayer room. Accommodations for visitors are nearby, including seven well-equipped chalets and three camping areas within the park. Visitors can also access the park by longboat.
