The Site of the Dongshantou Incident is located in Dongshantou Natural Village, Xitou Village, Lingjingdian Township, Yangqu County. On March 25, 1948, the Third District Committee of Dongyangqu County held an enlarged district committee meeting in Dongshantou Village. Attendees included officials from county-level departments, all cadres of the third district, as well as village heads, poor peasants' group leaders, militia cadres, and women’s cadres—totaling more than 130 people. The purpose of the meeting was to convey the situation of the national liberation war, mobilize the masses to carry out struggles against the enemy, and consolidate and expand the achievements of victory. On March 28, after the meeting ended and due to the late hour, county and district cadres were still staying in the homes of local residents. Because individuals who had been targeted during land reform sought revenge, they reported the news of the enlarged district committee meeting in Dongshantou to the Yan Army stationed in Donghuangshui. As a result, over a thousand Yan Army soldiers surrounded the county and district cadres. Secretary Tian Xi of the District Committee, District Chief Li Ergedan, militia team leader Li Yushuan, and other participants formed combat groups based on their lodging spots and engaged in fierce battles with the enemy. Outnumbered, most of the cadres and soldiers were killed, and some civilians also suffered greatly. In the Dongshantou Incident, 26 cadres and civilians from Dongyangqu County were killed, and 78 were arrested. Currently, at No. 24 in Dongshantou Village, there are two cave dwellings that served as the residences of the attending cadres at the time, and the courtyard was one of the meeting venues. About thirty meters southwest of the courtyard, there is a well where six cadre soldiers were killed by the enemy and then thrown into the well.

It is 3 kilometers from Provincial Highway 314, with paved roads leading directly into the village, making transportation convenient. The village has a total of 199 households and 588 residents, with 3,540 mu of arable land and 340 mu of land returned to forest. The area is vast, the climate is pleasant, the natural environment is beautiful, and the conditions for development are uniquely favorable.
