"Introduction to the Al-Arabi Stadium" Tourist Attraction   The Al-Arabi Sports Club is a well-known sports club located in the southern part of Doha. Its football and basketball teams are among the most successful in Qatar. The main stadium underwent extensive renovation and reinforcement for the Doha Asian Games and now has a seating capacity of 13,000. One of the most popular events of the Asian Games, the rugby sevens competition, was scheduled to be held here on December 10–11, 2006. The Al-Arabi Indoor Hall was also expanded and was used for a two-day trial run before the start of the table tennis competitions at the Asian Games.   Events hosted:   Al-Arabi Stadium is one of the five stadiums in Doha that hosted football matches during the Asian Games, and it also hosted the rugby sevens competition. Fencing and table tennis events took place in the indoor hall.   Location:   Located in the southern part of Doha, turn off AL-MUNTAZAH Street, situated between Ring Roads C and D.
