"Ethnographic Museum" tourist attraction introduction The Ethnographic Museum is a restored traditional Qatari house from the 20th century. It now offers visitors insights into life before the oil era. Some signs explain the functions of different rooms and their importance in family life. The wind tower of the building is particularly interesting, as it is one of the few remaining examples of traditional Gulf architecture in Qatar. The museum is located on Al Samriya Street (also known as St. Hamand Street), and is open from Sunday to Thursday, from morning until 12 noon and from 3 pm to 6 pm. It is closed on Saturdays. Admission is free.
