University of San Carlos Museum

Introduction The University of San Carlos is the oldest educational institution in the Philippines, established by Jesuit priests in 1565. The University of San Carlos Museum, located on P. Del Rosario Street, was founded in 1595 as an affiliated museum of the university. Its exhibits are primarily categorized into two areas: "Anthropology" and "Flora." The Anthropology exhibits illustrate the process of cultural development and its ongoing impact on local communities, as well as its influence on neighboring Southeast Asian peoples. The Flora section features a wide range of floral and botanical displays from Cebu and across the Philippines.
