Attraction Introduction

Located about a two-hour drive east of Muscat, this is the most famous hot spring in Oman. It is a naturally flowing spring, with the outlet situated next to a mosque. The water temperature is around 45 degrees Celsius, and it is said to be therapeutic for rheumatism, arthritis, and skin diseases.

In the evening, you can see women from nearby villages coming together to fetch drinking water from the spring outlet and chat. Not far from the outlet, there are 12 public baths built for worshippers visiting the mosque and tourists to wash their hands and feet. There is also a dedicated channel that brings the hot spring water into the village for washing and irrigation purposes.
