Langkawi Book Village is located in a tropical rainforest on Langkawi, close to Langkawi International Airport — just a 10-minute drive away, and about a 15-minute drive from Kuah Jetty. The establishment of Langkawi Book Village is based on the concept of an international book village. It is the 19th book village in the world, the only one in Malaysia, and also the first and only book village in Southeast Asia.

Designed in the style of 18th-century traditional Malaysian tribal architecture, Langkawi Book Village is organized into six exhibition areas, each featuring uniquely styled village houses. The village collects books and magazines from both domestic and international sources, including rare editions from around the world. Its collection spans a wide range of genres, from literature to religion. In addition, you can find a variety of second-hand books at the village, covering topics such as Arabic literature, sports, travel, gender studies, and more.

Langkawi Book Village is a must-visit destination, not just for book lovers, but for everyone — even those who dislike books might find themselves won over by the cultural atmosphere and develop a new appreciation for reading. The village is open daily from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, welcoming all visitors.
