The Rice Museum is located in Langkawi and is a museum dedicated to rice paddies. It houses traditional techniques and tools used for rice planting and harvesting, providing visitors with rich and detailed insights into various rice cultivation and harvesting activities.

The Rice Museum exhibits charts, photographs, and tools related to the rice industry, and visitors can even touch the tools. The most interesting part is that visitors can see the rice fields with their own eyes. There are dedicated staff managing the fields, and there are also chirping chicks nearby. On the top floor of the museum, there is a special rooftop garden divided into several plots for growing fragrant rice, as well as rice paddies where visitors can participate in rice planting activities. Other attractions at the museum include an herb garden and a specialty shop selling souvenirs and handicrafts. Additionally, the museum occasionally hosts food demonstrations featuring rice-based delicacies, rice-themed exhibitions, and various celebrations — all very enjoyable.

If you’re lucky enough, you may also get to taste special rice dishes. The museum is open every day from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Visitors who want to experience nature can come here to plant or harvest rice.
