As you enter the main gate of the park, you’ll immediately see a small yet exquisite rockery. In spring and summer, water flows continuously over it. Passing the rockery, you’ll come upon the emerald-green Yingze Lake, which covers one-third of the park’s total area and can be considered the most vibrant spot in the park. There is an arched stone bridge on the lake. Walking across it, you’re surrounded by rippling blue waters and swaying willows—how could it not lift your spirits? On the eastern side of the lake, there is a 150-meter-long wooden corridor, adorned with carved beams and painted rafters, with red-painted wooden pillars that reflect a distinctive ethnic style.

Highlights: In the western part of Yingze Park stands a pavilion built during the Jin Dynasty—this is the famous Scripture Depository Tower. With its classic and elegant appearance, it stands out beautifully against the backdrop of colorful flowers and green lawns.

: Located in the downtown area along the central section of Yingze Street, it is the largest urban park in Taiyuan.
