The Shanxi Arts and Crafts Museum primarily exhibits: works by national and provincial-level master artisans of arts and crafts in Shanxi Province; inheritors of national and provincial-level intangible cultural heritage craftsmanship in Shanxi; works that have won national awards such as the “Hundred Flowers Cup” and “Golden Phoenix” over the years in Shanxi; projects supported by Shanxi’s traditional arts and crafts protection and development funds; artistic creations that blend calligraphy, painting, and arts and crafts, as well as fine pieces by Shanxi’s arts and crafts enterprises and artisans. It also regularly displays and sells traditional arts and crafts with local folk characteristics, and hosts regular exhibitions of premium works by master artisans from within and outside the province. The mission of the Shanxi Arts and Crafts Museum is: to inherit the culture of Shanxi (Sanjin), promote Chinese civilization, serve the public’s cultural needs, showcase contemporary cultural achievements, and dedicate itself to building local culture.
