Jade Garden
Nestled at 111, Seocheon-ri, Namsan-myeon, Chuncheon-si, Gangwon-do, South Korea, Jade Garden is a park built with the concept of “a little Europe hidden in the woods.” Covering an area of 160,000 square meters, it consists of 24 uniquely themed gardens, making it one of the most charming tourist attractions in Chuncheon.
Jade Garden recreates the natural geographical features of Gangwon-do. The plants, architectural styles, and layout here are all harmoniously integrated across a terrain spread over valleys spanning approximately 50,000 pyeong (about 165,000 square meters). Over 3,000 plant species grow freely here. Rather than emphasizing bold colors, these plants highlight their own nobility and charm, authentically bringing to life the lush mountain forest scenery around the valley — a sight that enchants visitors and makes them reluctant to leave.
In addition to beautiful flowers and plants, Jade Garden offers a variety of experience programs, such as a soon-to-open training program for aspiring horticulturists interested in plants. Moreover, the visitor center includes a Western restaurant where guests can enjoy meals and drinks, as well as a souvenir shop.
