Seoul Education History Museum

The Seoul Education History Museum is located in Jongno-gu, Seoul. Established in 1995, it primarily introduces the important role and glorious history of education in Korea from the Three Kingdoms period to the present.

The museum is compact, spanning just 595 square meters, yet it boasts a collection of 12,742 items. These mainly cover educational systems, processes, content, institutions, and activities, including books, photographs, archives, teaching tools, and writing instruments. Through these exhibits, visitors can trace the step-by-step development of education in Korea. Admission to the Seoul Education History Museum is free. It is open from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM on weekdays (Monday to Friday) and from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM on weekends. The museum is closed on public holidays and on the first and third Wednesdays of each month.
