Seoul Art Cinema is located at 284-6 Noryang-dong, Jongno-gu, Seoul, South Korea. It officially opened in May 2002 and is the only non-profit cinema in Seoul dedicated to promoting education and culture, screening over 300 films annually. The cinema regularly organizes retrospectives of world cinematic masterpieces, film festivals from different countries, special programs showcasing classic and art-house films, as well as thematic events related to history, society, politics, and cinema—making it highly popular among film enthusiasts.

The primary audience targeted by Seoul Art Cinema is teenagers. To enhance their experience, the cinema has established a “Little School in the Movies,” offering young audiences the opportunity to discuss films with directors, film critics, and others. In addition, through the “Friday Short Film Theater,” the cinema screens the latest independently produced Korean short films on the third Friday evening of every month. Each month also features a director who uniquely influences global cinema trends, with meet-and-greet sessions and discussions held for teenage audiences.
