Dae Rim Art Museum

Dae Rim Art Museum is located at 35-1 Tongui-dong, Jongno-gu, Seoul, South Korea. Originally established in 1996 by the Dae Rim Group in Daejeon Metropolitan City, it was relocated to its current site in 2002. The museum analyzes and studies the concepts of contemporary art from various perspectives and showcases the soul of art with photography as its central medium.

Located near Gyeongbokgung Palace in Tongui-dong’s residential area, Dae Rim Art Museum was designed by a French architect and constructed by the Dae Rim Group of Korea. It officially opened in Seoul in late May 2002. The first floor houses a courtyard, parking lot, storage facilities, and meeting rooms. The second and third floors contain variously sized exhibition rooms, along with an 180-pyeong (approximately 594 square meters) exhibition space and office facing the courtyard. The fourth floor includes a seminar room that accommodates 120 people and a beautifully scenic balcony. From the balcony, visitors can enjoy views of Inwangsan and Bukaksan Mountains, and on clear days, even Bukhansan Mountain in the distance. Especially popular among visitors is the elegant rest area on the third-floor balcony, thoughtfully designed for guests.
