Niigata City is the capital of Niigata Prefecture and the largest city on the Sea of Japan side of Honshu Island in Japan. It is also one of the most famous tourist cities on the island. Located northwest of Tokyo, just 300 kilometers away, it boasts an extensive transportation network including an international airport, an international port, the Shinkansen (bullet train), and highways, attracting large numbers of domestic and international visitors every year.

Each season in Niigata City has its own unique charm, offering a dazzling array of scenery. In spring, the city is a sea of cherry blossoms and tulips. Autumn in Niigata brings mild weather, with abundant fruits and vegetables on display, and the joy of harvest evident on everyone’s face. In winter, snowflakes flurry through the air, covering the city in a beautiful white blanket. Elegant white swans also visit the lakes and rivers of Niigata, adding a touch of grace to the winter scenery.
