Niiza City

Niiza City is a city in southern Saitama Prefecture, established in 1970. It is home to Seisen University and Joshi Gakuen Women's Junior College.

Heirin-ji, a large temple in Niiza, is located near the Niiza City Hall. Built in 1375, unfortunately it was destroyed in 1590 and rebuilt in 1603. Tanuki (raccoon dogs), which are not commonly seen in the city, often roam here. The temple’s park is particularly beautiful in summer and autumn, with plum blossoms in full bloom in early spring and vivid red maple leaves in the fall, making it a highly eye-catching sight.
