Viti Levu

Viti Levu is the largest island in Fiji, located in the South Pacific. It stretches 144 kilometers from east to west and 80 kilometers from north to south, covering an area of approximately 10,490 square kilometers. Fiji’s capital and main port city, Suva, is situated on this island.

Viti Levu is a volcanic island with 29 peaks over 1,000 meters high. The highest peak in Fiji, Mount Tomanivi (formerly known as Mount Victoria), stands at 1,322 meters in the northern part of the island. Fiji's largest river, the Rewa River, originates nearby. The island has several major rivers, some of which are navigable in certain sections.

The famous Coral Coast extends over 100 kilometers between the town of Nadi and the Pacific harbor on the southwestern part of Viti Levu. For those wishing to enjoy Fiji’s beaches, the southern part of Viti Levu is a must-visit, featuring some of the country’s best beaches including Momi Bay, Robinson Crusoe Island, Natadola Beach, Kula Eco Park, and Pacific Harbour. The beaches here have soft, white sands, crystal-clear blue waters, beautiful coral, and abundant marine life. In Pacific Harbour, visitors can enjoy a wide range of water activities such as yachting, sailing, windsurfing, and glass-bottom boat tours.
