Te Manawa Museum

Te Manawa Museum is located in Palmerston North, Manawatu-Wanganui Region, New Zealand, right opposite the New Zealand Rugby Museum. It serves as a history museum, an art gallery, and a science center, making it one of the coolest tourist destinations in Palmerston North.

The museum aims to preserve the heritage of the region, enrich local cultural life, and support scientific research. Currently, its collection includes over 55,000 items, such as art collections, interactive science exhibitions, heritage artifacts, and natural history specimens. The permanent exhibitions are categorized into Māori collections, Pacific collections, natural history, social history, and science and technology. The art collection features outstanding works by New Zealand artists who have played a significant role in the development of New Zealand art, and the permanent collections represent invaluable heritage that should be protected for both present and future generations.

The museum offers around 300 interactive exhibits, allowing visitors to explore the relationship between science and technology, including topics such as electricity, color, communication, time, and human biology.
