Hamilton is located in the northern part of New Zealand’s North Island and is the country’s fourth-largest city as well as its largest inland city. The Waikato River, New Zealand’s longest and second most voluminous river, flows through Hamilton. Surrounded by some of the country’s most fertile land, it is known as the “Dairy Capital of the World.”

Hamilton boasts a wealth of tourist destinations, making it a great place for a short stay. Hamilton Gardens is a free public garden located in Hamilton on the North Island, covering an area of 58 hectares. It is mainly divided into five sections: the Paradise Garden, the Landscape Garden, the Productive Garden, the Fantasy Garden, and the Cultural Garden. The Waikato Museum of Art and History regularly hosts various exhibitions and is open to the public free of charge.

Waitomo Glowworm Caves are underground caverns inhabited by glowworms and are one of the region’s most famous tourist attractions, drawing many local and international visitors. Hamilton Lake is an artificial lake located in the city center of Hamilton, surrounded by recreational parks, and attracts many people for walks and play during holidays.
