The National Gallery of Australia was established in 1967 and is located in Canberra, the Australian Capital Territory. It is one of Australia’s most important art museums. The gallery features a late 20th-century Brutalist architectural style and is surrounded by gardens planted with native Australian flora.

The interior of the National Gallery of Australia is thoughtfully designed—not only to exhibit its collection of artworks, but also to properly store pieces not on display. The gallery has three levels: the main level, which is spacious and showcases works by Australian Aboriginal artists, as well as European and American art; the ground floor, which displays Asian art; and the third floor, which features Australian artworks. The current collection includes approximately 120,000 items, encompassing Australian art, Western art, Oriental art, modern art, and Pacific art. In addition to these, the gallery also houses a range of craft works created by Indigenous Australians. Furthermore, there is a sculpture park filled with highly creative sculptures.
