The Darwin Military Museum was established in 1965. It was previously known as the East Point Military Museum before being renamed to its current name in 2009. The museum is located at East Point in Darwin and originally started as a cannon museum. It now houses military weapons used in warfare.

The Darwin Military Museum is the first museum in Darwin, featuring a collection of combat weapons used by the navy, army, and air force — including guns, cannons, armored vehicles, photographs, war memorabilia, as well as uniforms worn during combat. These items come from Australia, the United States, and other militarily active countries. Visitors can take guided tours of the bunkers where the Top End defense strategy was planned during the war, marveling at human ingenuity. Guests can also watch vivid film footage of the Japanese bombing of Darwin — a scene of great brutality where innocent lives were lost to war. It serves as a reminder of the cruelty of conflict and the importance of cherishing peace.

The museum is open from 9:30 AM to 5:00 PM, and visitors can also take photos with cannons from the wartime era.
