The Mbitjana Aboriginal Art Gallery and Cultural Museum, commonly referred to as the Mbitjana Gallery, is located in Darwin. Established in 1992, it is the largest privately owned Indigenous art gallery in the world.

The Mbitjana Gallery features locally created, authentic Aboriginal artworks that radiate a deep Indigenous cultural essence. These artworks come from more than 250 regional artists, many of whom are well-known across Australia. These artists regularly create pieces for the gallery, and new painters join every month, ensuring a continuous stream of fresh and innovative works. The gallery’s artworks are vibrant in color, bold in contrast, uniquely composed, and often feature abstract patterns that provoke thought. The Mbitjana Gallery has long specialized in selling artworks from the Utopia region and has played a significant role in the history and evolution of Utopian art.
