Wangi Falls is located within Litchfield National Park in the southern part of Darwin and is the most well-known and easily accessible waterfall in the park.

Wangi Falls consists of two cascades. The left one is long and narrow with a small water flow, giving off an unimpressive waterfall vibe, while the right one is comparatively more grand. The volume of the waterfall varies with the seasons — during the dry season, the flow is relatively low, but it increases significantly in the rainy season when rainfall is abundant. Therefore, the Australian wet season is the best time to visit Wangi Falls. It’s worth noting that swimming in the plunge pool beneath the falls is not permitted due to the depth of the water, which can pose safety risks.

Although not as spectacular as Florence Falls, Wangi Falls has a continuous stream of water and a serene environment that seems to make visitors forget the hustle and bustle of the outside world, immersing them completely in the mystique of nature. Nearby the falls, there are shelters, a newsstand, and grassy areas. While swimming isn't allowed, picnicking around the falls is permitted, and the park provides picnic facilities.
