IntroductionThe Queensland Cultural Centre (QueenslandCult uralCentre) is located on the southern bank of the Brisbane River and comprehensively showcases Australia’s achievements in culture and the arts. The centre includes: the Queensland Museum; the Queensland Art Gallery; the State Library and the Performing Arts Complex. The performance venue features a concert hall with exceptional acoustics, a grand theatre with 2,000 seats for opera and ballet, and a smaller drama theatre. On weekends, the three shopping areas, six restaurants, and cafes in the cultural centre attract large crowds of Brisbanites, who are drawn in by the vibrant cultural atmosphere.
