Tianzhen Biancheng National Desert Park is located in the northern part of the county and falls within the project area of the Beijing-Tianjin Sandstorm Source Control Project. The park stretches from Provincial Highway 201 in the east to the boundary of Tianzhen County in the west, reaches Pingyuantou Village in the north, and extends to Shuimokou Village in the south. The planned area covers 13,945 hectares with an investment of 644.26 million yuan. By 2020, it is planned to initially form an ecological tourism image of the “Ancient Great Wall Fortresses” and establish a landscape ecological pattern characterized by “one belt, two corridors, three zones, four areas, and multiple points.” This will position Tianzhen Biancheng National Desert Park as a nationally renowned desert park with beautiful natural surroundings, a rich variety of ecosystems, well-developed science education and research facilities, distinctive tourism features, and profound historical and cultural heritage.
