The Jiezhuang Site is located southwest of Jiazhuang Village, about 18 kilometers southeast of Hunyuan County. The kiln site currently covers an area of approximately 10,000 square meters, with deposits about 2 meters thick. The kiln area has been encroached upon by residential buildings. A trial excavation was conducted in 1997. The cultural remains are relatively homogeneous, consisting entirely of artifacts from the middle to late Tang Dynasty. Jiezhuang Site

The Jiezhuang Site is located southwest of Jiazhuang Village, about 18 kilometers southeast of Hunyuan County.

The kiln site currently covers an area of approximately 10,000 square meters, with deposits about 2 meters thick. The kiln area has been encroached upon by residential buildings. A trial excavation was conducted in 1997. The cultural remains are relatively homogeneous, consisting entirely of artifacts from the middle to late Tang Dynasty. The types of ware include bowls, cups, bottles, jars, saucers, pitchers, incense burners, grinding tools, toys, etc. Glaze colors include white, celadon, black, tri-color, and green glaze, as well as twisted-body ware such as saucers, bowls, and ceramic figurines. The bowls are relatively shallow-bodied, with bottoms that are flat, “jade disc” shaped, or ring-footed. Both the jade disc-bottomed and ring-footed bowls have glazed centers. Cups come in white, black, and celadon, all featuring a lip at the mouth, a bulging body, and a flat base, all with half-glaze. Pitchers are divided into black, white, celadon, and tri-color types, all with short spouts, flat bases, and half-glaze, with some short spouts shaped like animal heads. The Jiezhuang Kiln is currently known to be the northernmost kiln site producing tri-color ware and twisted-body porcelain during the Tang Dynasty.
