Peacock Island Tourist Resort is located in the pristine Populus euphratica forest, 5 kilometers west of the county town. It enjoys convenient transportation (you can take the shuttle bus from the county town to Gulebage Township, arriving in just 10 minutes), boasts an elegant environment, and is fully equipped.

The island covers an area of 138 mu and was formed by a branch of the Peacock River, creating a secluded islet surrounded by water on all sides. It features dense secondary Populus euphratica forests. Invested nearly 4 million yuan by the County Cotton and Hemp Company, the resort was built in harmony with the natural landscape and is divided into five zones: 1. Dining & Reception Area: Equipped with a standard bar counter and shopping zone, it includes 8 private rooms that can accommodate 5 to 18 people, one Uyghur-style private room, and a 300㎡ enclosed hall. The private rooms and hall are organically integrated to accommodate up to 300 diners simultaneously. 2. Children’s Play Area: Features amusement facilities such as children’s windmills, merry-go-rounds, bumper cars, mini trains, chase cars, trampolines, and climbing beds. 3. Swimming & Fitness Area: Includes one adult swimming pool, one children’s swimming pool, children’s water play facilities, as well as one standard tennis court and one badminton court. 4. Rare Birds & Animals Breeding Area: Houses over 30 peacocks, dozens of house martins, and other ornamental birds such as ostriches. 5. Fishing & Hunting Area: Features dedicated fishing ponds and fish-catching pools, and raises various animals for hunting.

More than 10 wooden cabins have been built within the Populus euphratica forest. These cabins are built around the trees, with half of each cabin constructed underground and the other half above ground. As a result, staying in these cabins is cool, quiet, and comfortable in summer, making them an ideal choice for couples.

Peacock Island Tourist Resort officially opened for business on April 18, 2004. Since then, it has enjoyed exceptionally high popularity—both private rooms and regular seating require advance reservations. On weekends and holidays, the island is bustling with visitors and thrives with vitality.
