The AkYazi Stone Figures

Located at the AkYazi Pass in Zhaosu County, these are funerary remnants of Turkic nomadic peoples from the 7th and 8th centuries. There are two stone figures, approximately 700 meters apart from north to south. The northern one is a full-body bas-relief figure carved on a rectangular stone, standing 1.4 meters tall and 47 centimeters wide, with clearly defined eyes, ears, mouth, and nose. Its left hand rests on a sword, while the right hand is bent across the chest, holding an object that appears to be a bowl or cup, intricately carved. The southern one is 1.1 meters tall, 28 centimeters wide, and 26 centimeters thick. Only the head is outlined with lines, showing vague facial features, while the body has been eroded and is no longer clear.
