Immortal Cliff on Crow Ridge is situated on the river beach area east of Qiafuqihai. Along both sides of the road lies a lush, dense to sparse, secondary riverside forest intertwined with wild apricots, sea buckthorns, and thorny euonymus. Colorful fruits dot the landscape, creating a vibrant scene. To the north is the Da Jiergalang River, hidden within dense woods. Passing through the trees on the south side of the road, you’ll see many strange and uniquely shaped formations rising before you. Some resemble humans, some animals, and others defy description—interpretations vary widely. The largest formation is said to resemble an immortal descending from heaven, pointing the way for travelers. This is how the site got its name, Immortal Cliff on Crow Ridge. Crow Ridge was originally called Crow Forest, as the river beach area was once densely covered with tall poplar trees, where countless crows nested in the branches—hence the name Crow Forest. Later, due to human-caused ecological damage, the trees were destroyed and the crows flew away, leaving only the ridge without the forest, which is why it came to be known as Crow Ridge.
