Starting from the Mohuer Township government, drive 12 kilometers to reach the Hecang Bridge. Beneath the bridge lies the Hecang Gorge. Hecang is the gateway to Kuodeng, where "he" means "to unite" and "cang" means "hidden." The Hecang Gorge cuts into the ochre-red limestone, forming a long, corridor-like shape. With emerald waters cascading and splashing, a bridge spans gracefully overhead, and winding paths lead into serene seclusion—hailed as a marvel of nature. About a hundred meters upstream along the Hecang Gorge, you’ll find the Hecang Gorge Waterfall. Here, the mighty Kuodeng River, blocked by a large dam, gathers immense force before surging down in an unstoppable torrent through three stone gates. It plunges over 6 meters into a deep canyon, accompanied by a deafening roar. The water churns and roars downstream, sending up sprays and droplets that glisten like pearls and jade, creating a breathtaking spectacle.
