Between the Qiaxi Folk Tourism Area and the Summer Resort lies a large concrete arch bridge, known as Swallow Bridge. The bridge has a single span, measuring 20 meters in length and 10 meters in width. The Qiaxi River flows from south to north beneath the bridge, rushing and leaping along its course. Originally named Qiaxi Grand Bridge, at some point in time, mountain swallows took a liking to this spot and began flocking here to build their nests and lay eggs under the bridge and on both sides of it, raising their young year after year and never wanting to leave. Over time, people started calling the bridge Swallow Bridge. Whether you enjoy the view from atop the bridge or go fishing beneath it, watching the swallows dart back and forth above and below is a rare and delightful sight. At dusk, as the sun sets in the west, the snow-capped mountains glow red, the evening clouds drift by, the forests are painted in layers of color, and big fish bite—your heart races, you jerk the rod in a flurry of excitement. The scene is beyond words. Swallow Bridge is a masterpiece where man-made and natural landscapes blend perfectly. It is one of the scenic highlights of Qiaxi.
