It is a national A-level scenic spot and a regional-level cultural relic under protection. Locally known as Bayiduwayi, it is located in Bayiduwa Village, A’erle Township, about 4 kilometers from the county town center. Built in 65 BC by Wannian, the King of Shache during the Western Han Dynasty, it stands 12 zhang tall (approximately 40 meters), covers an area of 24 mu, and features pavilions and archways. It was renovated once during the Qianlong reign of the Qing Dynasty, with the archway inscribed with the words “United in allegiance to the Han, together resisting the Xiongnu.” Legend has it that after Wei Hou Feng Fengshi of the Western Han quelled the rebellion instigated by the King of Shache and the Chanyu’s attendant commander Tungpu, he and envoys from the states of Kucha, Wensu, Gumo, Yutian, and Pishan pledged alliance here, hence it is also called the Alliance Pledge Platform. At that time, the King of Shache died of old age without an heir. Emperor Qianlong ordered that Wannian, the son of Princess Jieyou, be sent to Shache to become king. After obtaining the emperor’s consent, Wannian arrived in Shache to assume the throne. Longing for his parents and wishing for the prosperity of the people of the Yarkent Khanate, he built this prayer platform in Bayiduwa Village to pray for the wealth of the Yarkent people and the safety of his family.
