Dayaheyuan Folk Village

Dayaheyuan Folk Village is located deep in the Taklamakan Desert, about 250 kilometers north of Tian County's urban area, within the territory of Daliyabuyi Township, Tian County. The villagers of Dayaheyuan have long led an isolated life, largely cut off from the outside world. It wasn't until recent times, with the involvement of both domestic and international desert explorers, that the situation here came to light both nationally and internationally.

This village is a distinctive folk village, with its houses scattered sparsely across a vast oasis area, characterized by strong dispersion. The homes are mostly supported by poplar wood, with fences woven from red willow branches. There is little to no furniture inside the houses; instead, higher platforms are built from sand, covered with carpets to serve as beds. The diet mainly consists of meat, supplemented with flatbread, and vegetables are not consumed. The residents are ethnic Uyghurs, with some unique dialect features, making this settlement one of the most distinctive residential tribes among the Uyghur people.
