Guide Muztagh Mountain is located at the border between Cele County and Hotan County within Hotan Prefecture, approximately 65 kilometers north of Cele County. With an elevation of 7,284 meters, it forms part of the majestic central section of the Kunlun Mountains along with the towering Tuanjie Peak (6,644 meters) and seven other peaks over 6,000 meters high. Introduction The Muztagh Mountain peak area is almost entirely covered by ice, with glaciers spanning more than 2,700 square kilometers and a total ice and snow reserve of 350 billion cubic meters. Intense glacial erosion has carved the mountain into sharp horn peaks and arêtes, making the peak formations even more distinct and spectacular. The northern slope of the mountain features a sequence of altitudinal zones shaped by different processes: an extremely high-altitude zone shaped by glaciation, a high-altitude zone influenced by cryogenic freezing, a high-altitude zone affected by dry to semi-dry conditions, a mid-altitude zone shaped by dry erosion, a low mountain and hilly zone, and an alluvial-proluvial inclined plain zone.

Muztagh Mountain features steep terrain and rugged roads, with breathtaking and magnificent alpine scenery along the way, making it a great destination for mountaineering enthusiasts. Every year, brave adventurers come here to explore and climb.
