Tianshan No. 1 Drift is a national AAA-level tourist attraction.

The "Tianshan No. 1 Drift" scenic area is situated in the Tianshan Scenic Eco-Tourism Zone in the southern part of Hutubi County. It is currently the only rafting-themed attraction on the northern slope of the Tianshan Mountains within the Urumqi-Changji-Shihezi economic belt, and the closest to downtown Urumqi with the longest river course. It lies 76 kilometers east of Urumqi, the regional capital, starting from the Awetan Canal Head in the south and reaching the Second-Level Platform of Dushanzi in the north. It is close to National Highway 312, Provincial Highway 201, the Wuku Expressway, and the Northern Xinjiang Railway, and is within the Urumqi–Changji–Shihezi urban economic circle.

The drift course of "Tianshan No. 1 Drift" features a newly designed dual-route system. Visitors can enjoy a relaxing, self-guided float down the "Leisure & Self-Service Drift" route, experiencing a refreshing and serene water journey while perhaps anticipating a romantic encounter. Alternatively, they can paddle through the thrilling "Warriors’ Passion Drift" route, embracing the excitement and coolness brought by the glacial waters of the Tianshan Mountains.

"Tianshan No. 1 Drift" utilizes the pure meltwater from the Tianshan snow and the winding, dynamic Hutubi River as its backdrop, carrying forward the long history and profound culture of the Tianshan region. Along the river, you’ll find the spectacular "Tianshan Geographic Scenery Corridor"—the Hundred-Mile Danxia landform—as well as the Kangjia Shimenzi Rock Carvings, created 3,000 years ago by the Saka people and themed around fertility worship. As the turbulent waters rush by, the valley scenery alternates between rugged grandeur with sheer cliffs like those frequented by wolves, and lush meadows dotted with grazing herds of livestock, embodying harmony between humanity and nature. With its majestic presence and picturesque landscapes, it’s an ideal destination for rafting and adventure activities. Drawing on the nomadic and Western Region cultures shaped by multi-ethnic integration, the "Tianshan No. 1 Drift" scenic area recreates scenes of primitive nomadic life within its rafting experience. This allows visitors to engage with the sights, sounds, and sensations of traditional nomadic culture and its pristine ecological values during their water-based adventures, resulting in a comprehensive rafting program that combines "water interaction, culture, sports, leisure, and sightseeing."
