Guide Changliushui Ecotourism Area is located on the edge of the Mu Us Desert, within the territory of Lingwu City, Ningxia. It is a naturally-formed green scenic area that integrates tourism and leisure, recreational fishing, camping and exploration, wildlife viewing, as well as outdoor film and TV shooting.

The waters of Changliushui originated a century ago and formed miraculously. Deep in the Mu Us Desert, within a two-kilometer radius, three springs seep out respectively from at the foot of sand dunes, from the roots of fine grass, and through crevices in rocks. They emerge like teardrops and gradually form trickling streams. With their tinkling sounds, they eventually converge into a creek. In the heart of the desert, on the riverbed of a grand canyon, they flow day and night, meandering joyfully forward — hence the name Changliushui, or “Long Flowing Water.”

Stroll through the lush Changliushui and trace its source. You can see ancient beacon towers, small stone cottages, hourglass wells, and old sheepfolds. At the confluence of the three springs, enjoy sights such as Sister Pools, bare-root mulberry trees, wild apricot forests, and jujube-covered hills. Along the way, walk on water and sand, admire the rocks and greenery. Tiger Mouth Waterfall, Snake Tail Waterfall, and Twin Dragons Waterfall each present a unique desert waterfall style, delightful to the eye and truly a wonder of the northern frontier. Thousand-Bird Cave, Mountain Cave, Crocodile Rock, and Accumulated Rock formations showcase strokes of divinity and sparks of spirit everywhere. The rare natural sights of sand, stone, lake, spring, waterfall, stream, and icefall are all naturally integrated. Facilities such as a sand bathing area, sand sliding area, and horse riding field offer recreational activities including desert off-roading, beach soccer, water volleyball, and water surfing.

Dining / Accommodation / Shopping Cave lodging areas are available, with heated kang beds and regular beds. Each cave can accommodate 3–10 people.
