Lingwu Gao Temple is a cultural tourism attraction.

Lingwu Gao Temple, also known as Shangdi Temple or Jade Emperor Temple, was originally called Xuanwu Temple. It was first built in the 20th year of the Kaihuang era of the Sui Dynasty (600 AD).

The temple covers an area of 5,000 square meters, with the main building complex spanning 2,000 square meters. The main hall stands 30 meters tall, atop an 11-meter-high platform, and the entire complex faces south. Major structures include the Southern Heavenly Gate, the Hall of Boundless Height, the Queen Mother’s Hall, the Guanyin Pavilion, the Jade Emperor Hall, the Three Pure Ones Hall, along with eleven additional buildings such as the Hall of Heavenly Kings, the Hall of Divine Officials, the Wenchang Pavilion, the Wuchang Pavilion, and the Bell and Drum Towers.

Lingwu Gao Temple features ingenious design, rigorous layout, and exquisite craftsmanship, integrating a group of temple buildings into a unified whole. The overall architecture represents the pinnacle of ancient Chinese architectural art, with the main structures aligned along a central axis. The temple has three levels; ascending the steps, each level presents a complex of overlapping towers, connected corridors, soaring eaves, and intricately carved beams and painted rafters, forming a winding and layered architectural style.

Due to its thriving incense offerings, during temple fairs and festivals, apart from local worshippers, people also flock to the temple from surrounding provinces such as Shaanxi and Inner Mongolia to participate in the events.
