The Site of the Ambush Battle at Yanmen Pass is a cultural tourism attraction.

The Site of the Ambush Battle at Yanmen Pass is located to the south of Shiqianggou, approximately 5,000 meters northwest of Taiheling Village, Yanmen Pass Township, Dai County. On October 18, 1937, He Bingyan, commander, and Liao Hansheng, political commissar, of the 716th Regiment of the 358th Brigade of the 120th Division of the Eighth Route Army led their troops in an ambush against Japanese forces between Shiqianggou and Chengshang south of Yanmen Pass, killing over 200 enemies,

burning dozens of vehicles and temporarily cutting off the Japanese army’s vital transportation line, effectively supporting the Xinkou Campaign. The site stretches about 1,000 meters from north to south and about 200 meters from east to west, covering an area of approximately 200,000 square meters. Yanmen Pass Town: Yanmen Pass Township is located in the northwest of Dai County, 15 kilometers from the county seat. It borders Yuanping, Shanyin, and Shuozhou. National Highway 208 runs north–south through the township, and the Datong–Yuncheng Expressway lies within its boundaries, providing very convenient transportation. The township currently has 2,198 households and a population of 7,505, with a total land area of 166.8 square kilometers, accounting for one-tenth of the entire county.

The area is home to the world-renowned national cultural relic Yanmen Pass and the Ming Dynasty Inner Great Wall. There are also numerous cultural and historical sites such as the cave where Chiang Kai-shek and Yan Xishan held negotiations and the stone where Li Zicheng tested his sword, giving it relatively strong tourism advantages.
