Ningwu Pass
: Located in the urban area of Ningwu County, it was initially built during the Chenghua era of Emperor Xianzong of the Ming Dynasty to defend against invasions from northern Mongolian tribes. The original perimeter of Ningwu Pass was about 2 kilometers. In the 11th year of the Chenghua reign, it was expanded to a perimeter of 3.5 kilometers, and a city tower was added along with enemy watchtowers and artillery platforms around it, making the pass even more imposing and fortified.
