Xigou Ancestral Hall

Xigou Ancestral Hall is located in Xigou Village, Dietaisi Township, Ningwu County. It faces south and measures 17 meters from east to west and 41 meters from north to south, covering an area of approximately 680 square meters. The existing structure dates back to the Qing Dynasty. The layout consists of a two-courtyard complex, with four buildings remaining in the front courtyard: a main house, a southern house, and three-room east and west wing rooms. The buildings in the rear courtyard have been destroyed. The screen wall is constructed with brick carvings imitating wooden structures, and the main gate has a flush gable roof with three-tiered brackets (斗拱) under the eaves. The plaque reads “Built by Mr. Shi Shijun in the 18th year of the Daoguang reign (1848).”

Dietaisi Township: Dietaisi Township is located in the southwest of Ningwu County, about 25 kilometers from the county seat. It borders Dongzhuang Township to the north, Changlianggou Town of Yuanping City to the east, Geda Township to the south, and Dongzhai Town to the west. The total area is 109 square kilometers.

The township was liberated in 1945. In June 1953, the People's Government of Dietaisi Township was established. In March 1956, it was reorganized into two separate townships: Xiling and Dietaisi. On July 25, 1958, they were merged again to form Dietaisi Township, which was renamed Dietaisi People's Commune on September 13.
