Sun Moon Star Eco Manor is a national AAA-level tourist attraction and a cultural heritage site protected by Shanxi Province.

Sun Moon Star Eco Manor is located in the eastern part of Zuoquan and the southwest of Xingtai, at the strategic pass between Shanxi and Hebei. The “Heihu Pass” at the foot of the mountain is known as the “key to Shanxi’s border and the shield of the province.” Situated on the edge of a fault line in the middle section of the Taihang Mountains, the manor marks the natural boundary and watershed between the Shanxi Plateau and the North China Plain. The Shanxi side of the watershed features relatively gentle terrain, while the Hebei side drops sharply, with steep mountains, continuous rocky cliffs, sheer rock faces in rows, and deep valleys. Looking back toward Shanxi, you see peaks reaching into the sky; looking north over Hebei, you find layers of undulating mountains. Two spectacular sights await: watching the sunrise in the morning and viewing the sea of clouds from high ground—both are truly magnificent. The area enjoys a mild climate with distinct seasons, abundant natural beauty, and a rich cultural heritage. The footprints of notable figures can be found everywhere, as the poem goes: “In the sea of clouds, I seek divine traces; the heavenly steed soars across the sky. The bright moon calms the pure heart; the quiet valley resembles a fairy palace.” In 2013, Sun Moon Star Eco Manor was named one of “Shanxi’s Best Summer Resorts,” and was awarded the title of “Council Member Unit of the Shanxi Nutrition Association.” It has also received widespread attention from leaders and experts both within and outside the province.
