The construction date is unknown, but it is said to have been built during the Jin Dynasty. According to the "Liaozhou Annals" in the Ming Dynasty's Yongle Encyclopedia, it already existed in the eighth year of the Song Dynasty’s Zhenghe era (1118 AD). Yuan Dynasty stone inscriptions record that the hall was rebuilt in the first year of the Yuandade era (1297 AD).

The Dacheng Hall faces south and features a five-bay width and three-bay depth, with a double-eaved hip-and-gable roof. It covers an area of 458.9 square meters. The hall is surrounded by an outer corridor, and the lower eave has a single set of brackets. The bracket sets are densely arranged, and the roof curves gracefully. The building is richly decorated with brackets, colored paintings, and carvings, showcasing exquisite craftsmanship. The wooden structure is well-preserved, and the architectural form is dignified and harmonious. The hall is a typical example of Yuan Dynasty architecture. Confucius (551–479 BC), whose given name was Qiu and courtesy name Zhongni, was a native of Zouyi, Changping, in the State of Lu (present-day southeastern Qufu, Shandong Province). He was a philosopher, educator, and statesman in the late Spring and Autumn Period, the founder of Confucianism, and one of the most influential figures in Chinese history and culture. His impact extends globally, especially across Southeast Asia, making him one of the world’s cultural icons.
