Manghuai Neolithic Site
Multiple Neolithic sites are distributed along the Lancang River basin within Yun County. Research has confirmed that these sites date back over four thousand years, proving that humans inhabited the Yun County section of the Lancang River basin more than four millennia ago. Due to their distinctive characteristics, representing a relatively independent type of Neolithic culture, historians have classified them as the "Manghuai Type" Neolithic.
