Qixian Zhaoyu Square

On September 28, the completion of Qixian Zhaoyu Square marked another major step forward in the urbanization of Qixian County.

Situated to the east of the ancient city of Qixian and spanning 24 mu, Zhaoyu Square is a significant project within the “Urban Management Year” strategy implemented this year by the Qixian County Party Committee and County Government. The square is flanked by a culturally rich traditional wall adorned with vivid relief sculptures of 24 notable historical and cultural figures from Qixian. A modern sculpture titled “Morning” on the square showcases the beauty of sunrise over the east with radiant colors of red and yellow. A large-scale musical fountain sprays cascading water curtains and streams of clear water.

The newly built Zhaoyu Square has drawn admiration from local residents. One elderly citizen exclaimed, “I never thought such scenery, like what we see on TV, could become a reality in our small town!”
