According to an inscription under the main ridge of the main hall: “Initially built in Xiguan Village in the third year of the Tian Sheng era of the Great Song (1025), relocated to Dongguan Town in the 26th year of the Kangxi era of the Great Qing (1687).” Only the Mahavira Hall remains today. The hall faces south and is situated on a brick-and-stone structured platform, measuring five bays in width and six rafters in depth, with a single-eave hip-and-gable roof and glazed tile trimming along the roof edges. The building covers an area of 287.3 square meters. The bracket sets exhibit craftsmanship characteristic of the Song Dynasty, with the structure predominantly using wooden materials from that period. Extended Reading:
