Suojia Village is located just 5 kilometers from the county town and boasts uniquely beautiful scenery, featuring the remarkable Shenlong Cave, a naturally formed likeness of Chairman Mao, waterfalls, and expansive willow forests. Shenlong Cave is an underground river, winding through the cavern with breathtaking stalagmites and rock formations that seem carved by nature’s hand—there are intricately crafted stone pillars with perfect musical resonance, as well as massive stone waterfalls and other delicate sights. Shenlong Cave has been developed together with Fanjin Hotel, attracting tens of thousands of visitors each year. The village is also famous for its numerous paper-making workshops and the grand scale of its Water Dragon Dance events. There are over fifty paper-making workshops in the village, and the dragon dances take place in the river. At their peak, more than a hundred people participate in the dragon dance performances.
