Three Lions Paying Homage to an Elephant On the outskirts of Jiangkou, from Ma'anshan to Ganjiaba, there are three small hills that strikingly resemble three lions, while on the opposite side, at the river mouth of Niudongyan in Mowan, stands a large mountain shaped like an elephant, facing the lions—hence the name “Three Lions Paying Homage to an Elephant.” Currently, the county has invested tens of millions of yuan to build a new road named “Elephant-Lion Avenue,” and is developing a new urban area along this avenue, organically integrating mountains, water, gardens, forests, and roads.
