In October 1987, a power station was built here, damming the Jinjiang River, which resulted in the formation of a lake about 1 kilometer long. The shores of the lake are lined with lush trees and green grass. Every summer, it becomes a paradise for anglers. At the location of the river dam, follow the stone steps down, pass the Wangjiashan Power Station Monument, and you will arrive at the Octagonal Pavilion. It serves as the intake gate control building for the power station and is integrated with the dam. This classical-style, beautiful pavilion houses stone benches, chairs, and tables, providing visitors with a place to rest and relax. Standing on the pavilion, the entire lake spreads out before your eyes, with fishing boats moored in the river bends, jumping fish, and anglers poised like statues, creating a sensation of “strolling through a painting.”
