Yuliangxi Scenic Area

Yuliangxi Scenic Area is located at the border between Minxiao Town and Minhe Township. It got its name from the abundant presence of the precious yellowfin fish (known locally as “Jiaojiao fish”). Throughout history, villagers here paid their taxes to the imperial court in fish instead of grain, a practice that continued until the end of the Qing Dynasty, hence the name “Yuliangxi” (Fish-Grain Stream).

The scenery of Yuliangxi is renowned for the majestic and rugged beauty of its streams, waterfalls, peaks, rocks, caves, cliffs, bridges, and bluffs...

The 3-kilometer stretch from WanZhang Rock to Yuliang Stockade is where the most exquisite views of Yuliangxi can be found. This section features Rhino Cave, Through Cave, Beauty Showing Her Blush, Underground Dragon Palace, three sky bridges, Stone Gate Waterfall, Waterfall Cave, Pig Trough Pond, and WanZhang Rock, as well as uniquely shaped stone forests. Once you step into this area, you will be captivated by its beauty, wonder, peculiarity, and strangeness.
