Situated on the north side of the Fen River, 20 kilometers from Jiexiu City, spanning the territories of Jiexiu, Lingshi, and Qinyuan counties, with the highest elevation at 2,566.6 meters and a relative height of over 1,000 meters, it is a branch range extending northward from the Taiyue Mountain (also known as Huo Mountain). Mianshan, also called Jieshan, lies 20 kilometers southeast of Jiexiu City. The mountain features steep terrain, many cliffs and precipices, lush pines and cypresses, and exceptionally beautiful natural scenery. It is a provincial-level scenic area. Mianshan boasts many attractions, including Baiyun Nunnery, Guangyan Temple, Yunzhong Temple, Dizang Hall, Shigu Temple, Dragon King Temple, Bailong, Sermon Platform, Chessboard Rock, Five Dragons Tomb, and Sacrificial Cliff.
